Decombining Long Sentences
Exercise # 1

Directions: On this paper, decombine each of the following into two main clauses.



1. At times when his team is winning he will be bubbly and/or cocky rubbing the score into the fans

of the opposing team's faces or talking loudly about the score of the game as he leaves the park to

be sure that people have heard him. (46 words / mc)
 

2. When artists can see beneath the coverings of clothing and/or skin to the basic construction of the

human body, they begin to understand how to interpret the movement, the gestures, the proportions,

experienced and trained technicians that come to work for them upon graduation and they can sell

specialized vehicles because of the training that student’s receive while in the ASSET program.
